Many people likely think I am overlooking what Ed brought to the movement. That is not true. My thoughts on his choices for the direction of CATO are far more critical that any about his sex life. But, I also realized early on, and because I became active in the LP in California in 1973, I have a long perspective on both of these lines of inquiry.
I have been planning to write a book on those insights for many months now. Gathering the daunting amount of notes I have made began before Crane died.
The planned book is not, per se, about Edward H. Crane, III, instead, we look at the missteps taken by sundry individuals and celebrate those who understood that real freedom does not include government.
